This year, Zimbramel reaches its 27th edition. The fair was established in 1999 to promote beekeeping activities and honey-derived products. It is considered one of the most important events of its kind in Portugal. From 28 to 30 of August, Parque Augusto Pólvora, in Maçã, brings together the finest honey from the region and across the country. The star of the show is Sesimbra Honey, recognised as one of the best honeys in Portugal. Its distinct flavor comes from the rich local flora – dominated by rosemary, thyme, oregano, myrtle, rockrose, and French lavender – combined with the region's mild climate.

With an exceptionally low moisture content (17% to 18%), it stands out for its purity and quality. Alongside local beekeepers and producers from the Setúbal Peninsula, the fair welcomes exhibitors from several regions of Portugal. Visitors can also purchase royal jelly, pollen, propolis, natural cosmetics, regional pastries, the famous Azoia cheese, traditional bread, and handicrafts.
